Kimbo introduces a new concept in Dump Body Maintenance and Servicing processes: Supported Load Working Method. This supported load concept replaces the traditional "suspended load and crane" method; KIMBO does not require the use of cranes for the exchange of dump bodies.

Traditionally, hydraulic cranes have been used to dismount and mount dump bodies from lowboy trucks, however, when there is no hydraulic crane available, this operation has to be postponed, the dump body remains on the lowboy truck until a hydraulic crane becomes available.

Kimbo System uses mechanical and hydraulic stands to load and unload dump bodies to and from lowboy trucks for repair or storage; Kmbo Mobile System works everywhere and with no need of hydraulic cranes.

What is the Kimbo Mobile System? Which are its components?

​

This system is made up of two hydraulic stands – pyramid-shape steel structures- with double acting hydraulic cylinders powered via an Auxiliary Hydraulic Power Unit. The hydraulic cylinders axially lift the dump body from lowboy trailer and allow the positioning of the mobile mechanical stands to support the dump body load, releasing it from lowboy trailer and allowing lowboy truck to move out.

Which is the added value of Kimbo Mobile System?

Added values are directly related to improved operational safety and efficiency, because, just like the Kimbo Dump Body Exchange System, this Mobile System eliminates the need of cranes, is not dependent on weather conditions and drastically reduces operation times from 12 hours to 30 minutes.

​

By eliminating the use of cranes for dismounting and mounting operations, Kimbo Mobile System results in increased crane availability; reduced number of workers involved – from 7 to 3; and consequently lower costs.
